Independence Rehab began in Orem, Utah, in the year 2000 as two therapy contracts owned by Darin McSpadden OTR/L and Jason Crump, PT. A merger in 2004 ultimately included Chad Fullmer, PT and Derek White, PT as owners—and completed the company in its current corporate form.
Independence founders have a collective 59 years of experience in therapy and diverse business experience including management and/or ownership of inpatient therapy, outpatient therapy, sports, marketing, and telecommunications businesses.
Gaining customers mainly through performance-based referrals, Independence specializes in providing
full-service, motivated therapy teams to skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and assisted living facitilies (ALFs).
